Forever Greene Talis, CH
Man holding ribbons, woman holding dog
I believe that Talis represents everything that a Chinook should be. She has beauty, brains, good health and a goofy, loving personality.
Forever Greene Barrow Kenai, CH
Woman holding dog with ribbons
One area that I had always had an interest in (but never really considered pursuing) was showing, but somehow Patti convinced me to give it a try... Kenai was able to obtain his Champion title at 1 year of age and we will start working towards his Grand Championship in 2007.
Forever Greene Kaya
Woman with dog at dog show
Although it was a bigger commitment, we decided to adopt a "breed potential" puppy. To my surprise, I have enjoyed taking her to dog shows (especially when we come home with a ribbon) and am excited about the prospect of a litter of puppies after she turns two years old. Having just passed Kaya's first birthday, we definitely want another Chinook in our home.
Forever Greene Bering "Truckee"
Dog with red harness
It has been an adventure, but a wonderful adventure at that thus far. Truckee has fulfilled our every expectation about the Chinook dog, and thrown a couple surprises into the mix as well. His personality is something extraordinary.
Forever Greene Nukka
Dog standing
Nukka has been a fabulous addition to our family since the day she arrived (after traveling with me in the cabin of a Swiss flight - quite an adventure). We figured out right away that she is smarter than the average bear - at times a little too smart. She is also incredible agile - can easily give big kisses on the lips to very tall men. The combination of smarts and agility makes her a joy to train - she's earning her achievements in clicker training K-9 multi-sport.
Forever Greene Koda
Dog laying on deck
My son really summed it up as he struggled to define what Koda has brought to our family. He said "I was excited at the thought of getting a dog, but I really pictured just getting....a dog. Something that barks, hangs out at home, needs walking..... What we got is almost beyond words. We got a new member to our family. We got a personality, a best friend, unconditional love and laughter. Mom...we got a person."
Forever Greene Millinocket
Dog Face
I do not know where to begin. The joy and love we have found since bringing Millinocket into our family has been wonderful. I never knew one could become so attached to a dog. She truly is a Chinook! From the playfulness, the howling, which we think is hysterical and she now uses to get what she wants, to the obedience and the love.
Forever Greene Piaraq "Tikaa"
Chinook Dog Face
We wanted a big dog, no barking, and great with children, able to handle Canadian winters but an inside dog.
... it was love at first site.
Forever Greene Baffin "Quincy"
Chinook Dog Face
I would say to anyone considering the breed, that if a larger working dog with a smooth muscled body and a soft medium length coat interests you, that is really just the icing on the cake...there is so much more! They are also great outdoor companions and enjoy going anywhere to do anything with you (we enjoy running and long hikes). Quincy does not own an aggressive nor fearful bone in his body; he is incredibly friendly, extremely intelligent, and always dignified. Above all though, he loves so fiercely that it has honestly reminded us of how to enjoy people and life like he does. Though it may sound silly, it is the truth.
